Every year at the NFL Scouting Combine in Indianapolis, we find a player who jumps off the sheet with his measurements and performance in drills.
This year, the player likely to be talked about the most is former Ole Miss wide receiver D.K. Metcalf, who has proven to be a beast among men at the combine.
Take a look.
Were he alive today, I think we can all agree former Raiders owner Al Davis would be salivating over this guy, especially because of his speed.
For those who don’t remember, the Raiders shocked everyone in the 2009 NFL Draft when they chose Maryland wide receiver Darrius Heyward-Bey with the seventh overall pick mainly because of his speed. Many felt that was way too high to take the somewhat raw Heyward-Bey. It wouldn’t surprise anyone if they thought about taking Metcalf at some point, especially if they fail to trade for Antonio Brown.
Regardless of who takes him, Metcalf has all the makings of a big-game receiver.
